This is such a beautiful antique serving platter made by John Meir & Sons from 1837-1897. This plate dates to the earlier Aesthetic Movement (late 1800s) and is called Bamboo. It depicts stalks of bamboo within a geometric border and three cartouches, two rectangular one semi-circle, feature an old mill, a floral scene, and geometric patterns in the semi-circle. Personally, I just adore the colour, a strong pink/red and the gorgeous crazing on the back. There are no chips and its in great condition, although there is a little staining in places as one would expect for such a old treasure!
