I spotted this recently and knew I had to have it! Normally I love blue and white Victorian transferware, but this vivid luscious green caught my eye instantly. It is embossed on the back as T Mayer Stoke. T Mayer was a prolific manufacturer of blue, brown, green and pink printed ware between 1826 - 1838 much of it for the American market. In fact, his colourings are some of my favourite - especially the green and pink combination he produced. Do google it! It's divine.
There is some cracking on the back and a little nibble from the rim as you might expect for a plate of such age, but it's just so gorgeous that it doesn't detract!
